He told The Sun Online there were “two separate laboratory accidents in Beijing in 2004” in which a SARS virus was entered into the human population. WebEbright, a Board of Governors professor of chemistry and chemical biology in the School of Arts and Sciences, and laboratory director at the Waksman Institute of Microbiology, recently was named to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. In the interview below, he talks about the origins of the problems and what it will take to solve them.
