WebAug 31, 2024 · Chesham does have a different feel, the co-ed aspect seems to make it less pressured although academically still very rigorous. Ds2 loves it and is happier than we've ever known him during his time in school. Children who live in Chesham invariably choose the Challoners Schools over Chesham (they are in the catchment for both) so this frees up more spaces for out of county. There are lots of good schools - Elmtree is absolutely lovely, and I think Newtown and Brushwood are also supposed to be good.

WebSep 17, 2024 · Chesham Prep is a much larger school and has amazing sports facilities. A bit of an 11+ grammar crammer school but nice kids. Another three I would consider which are still a sensible distance from your area are York House, Maltmans Green and Westbrook Hay. Lovely park, excellent schools (it is part of the Bucks grammar school system for Secondary), close to countryside, regular trains into London. I think it's a good place for a young couple.
